Saturday morning

It is getting warmer and I am sitting indoors nursing a head cold and listening to WQED fm classical requests program on the radio. The music is punctuated by the crash of ice on the front deck as the accumulation on the roof melts.

I crocheted some doilies while resting up from the last respiratory bug, posted photos of the first one this morning. It has taken a while to get back into needlework after the move. Now that I have started with the doilies, is time to unpack the knitting books. The yarn and needles are out. Yesterday I started to replace the feet in some socks I made in 2003 using saved extra yarn.

This is a photo I took yesterday morning after updating the blog. Any glitches are from debris on my west window. I don’t have a thermometer outdoors but from the weather reports the temperature was just above 10 °F and there was a lively breeze as well. It was a good day to stay indoors!
